« on: May 16, 2019, 01:51:50 AM »
So as many have sayd we having issue with the new frimware.
Iv try changing the code to have it set to the number of leds I have I think I would have to set it in the eeprom for it to work. not sure how.
also try with different set of  led. only possible other problem would be the board il try that later.

i got a better idee on how to code it we should play with the time variable like (-4h) instead of changing the zone

moodlite Software / brightness with day cycle
« on: February 25, 2019, 10:44:03 PM »
I would like to have in the code something like this

-Light Dependent Resistor (LDR)
-100k Resistor

#define LDR_ON                     false      // Flag to use LDR sensor

#define LDR_PIN = D0;

void loop() {
int LDRValue = analogRead(LDR);

if (LDRValue <=700)
digitalWrite(LED, 100% brightness);

if (LDRValue <=800)
digitalWrite(LED, 90% brightness);

if (LDRValue <=900)
digitalWrite(LED, 80% brightness);
.... and so on true the day

digitalWrite(LED, off);

Serial.println("its day time; Led status: OFF");

is that something that would be possible how do you feel about it ?

possible usefull link

moodlite Software / Timezone for next release code modification
« on: February 25, 2019, 05:51:47 PM »
Hey, I'v play with time to set it up to my timezone I would like to include a way to choses a timezone in the config. Also I would like to have the possiblility to know if it worked witht he time showing in the web interface

what need to be changed

---------------------ORIGINAL------------------------ line 300 to 310------------
 Ntp Server
 Time zones
 Central European Time (Frankfurt, Paris)
 Central European Summer Time
TimeChangeRule tchrCest = { "CEST", Last, Sun, Mar, 2, 120 };
 Central European Standard Time
TimeChangeRule tchrCet = { "CET", Last, Sun, Oct, 3, 60 };
Timezone tzCe(tchrCest, tchrCet);
TimeChangeRule *tcr;

----------------ALSO at line 2300-----------------
      utc = epoch;
      localTime = usEastern.toLocal(utc, &tcr); //the usEastern would have to be define and changed

---------------Modified one____________________
//-- Modification time zone--

#define timezone          EST       //the timezone are CEST,, EST,...

If timezone= EST
  #define TimeChangeRule usEDT = {"EDT", Second, Sun, Mar, 2, -240};  //UTC - 4 hours
  #define timechangerule usEST = {"EST", First, Sun, Nov, 2, -300};   //UTC - 5 hours
  #define usEastern(usEDT, usEST);
  #thisValue usEastern.toLocal(utc, &tcr)

also something like

utc = now();  //current time from the Time Library
eastern = usEastern.toLocal(utc);

utc = epoch;
      localTime = ThisValue.toLocal(utc, &tcr); //the usEastern would have to be define and changed

Would that be possible ? for future update

also just have it show up the current time on the server by the time chosing thing on the web interface.

I fell like you just need to change the number of led on the web interface. Have you try that ?

Thanks for this :D

I made a version with the frame only.

moodlite Software / individual pannel control for multi shaped pannels
« on: January 28, 2019, 07:05:04 AM »
So I'm working on more than 3 side panels and I suck at programming.
I would need an option to control all the panels individually. so the feature would go like this you choose

scrolling menu
automatic or manual

Automatic (like we have now)
NBS or led per corners: x
NBS of led total: x

NBS of Leds (number of the leds total could be counted true all the value or just set up manually here)
Panel NBS: x (scrolling menu with numbers)
NBS of side: x
NBS of leds per corners: x

and you repeat this for all the panels so you can have all the shapes you want separately

If someone think this is awesome awould would make it would love it. If not what do you guys think would be a better way to do this ?

moonlite Builds / Moodlite Marky Marc Build Log
« on: January 21, 2019, 09:49:35 PM »
Hello everybody,
I am in the process of making my own moodlite and I finded it hard for someone who had more or less no electric background. So I desided to make this post and share with all the way I did it and try and make a more complete tutorial. This will be updated over time.
Feel free to ask for stuff and il try and add picture of it.

so lets start by my spread sheet

I added a 1000uf capasitor (long pin is the positive side) and a 330 ohm resistor

and a photo of the actual thing on a breadboard

Next I 3d printed everything on my prusa i3 mk3 took around 7 hours per pannel. With some hatchbox white petg  3 wall, 0.2 layer height, 7% infill, top and bottom concentri, support material is not required

a closes up on how I fitted everything inside.

closes up of the littel glue I'v put in the triangle to make sure the cable stay in on the low part

here a pic of the build done
