I also did a comparison between your thicker top and the standard top and the diffusion of light is much better.

I am currently using a "Blueish White" PLA/PHA from colorfabb https://colorfabb.com/blueish-white for the prints, It gives the panels a more clinical /brighter white look. The filament is a bit more expensive though....

In the attachment you can see the comparison, left is the thicker version and right standard.
You can see some light through the walls with the thicker version, I think I am going to make a version where the walls are a bit thicker. I'll let you know.

You can try out my model if you want  , I did make the walls of the part that goes over the bottom a bit thicker , but there is still some light that goes trough , but i like it as it is for now , planning on making a different bottom but when i have some free time to experiment and when my new jgaurara a5 comea in next week

Hi DevilsDJ,

I have tried your top panel version and the results are looking great. The thicker walls  are working there is not much light coming through anymore.

I have attached two comparisons between ShFaxx (left) and yours, (DevilsDJ right). At dark the difference is hard to see on camera but the inner triangle, darker area, is almost gone in your version. In the bright day version you can see the difference more clear.

The last image is a comparison between the standard panel top (left) and DevilsDJ top panel (right). The leds are much brighter in the corners with the standard top panel, again hard to see on camera  :P .

Finished my 1st one....   Well I may make one more panel for the end so it's not so symmetrical. 

This is using the v2.0 base and my slightly taller top panel (posted somewhere in this thread).

Running 90 LEDs, 10 Panels with (3 per corner, 9 per panel).  I'm not having any issues with power drop, etc. I can crank it up to max brightness, etc.  (Using this power adapter:  https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0194B80NY/ref=oh_aui_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1)

I attached each panel to the wall with two command strips, they have been holding the 1st five panels since I started with no issues.  I also love that I can pop them off the wall if needed and don't leave any marks.  (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073XS3CHW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00__o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)
