Hello,

Just started my build. The only problem is the only printer I own is an MP Select Mini. It only has a 120mm x 120mm build volume making it unuseable to print the full model. I have split up the file and started to print. I will upload photos and files when printing is finished.

I'm also wondering if you can use a raspberry pi zero w with this project. I already own a bunch and am used to working with them. Please respond if you have any ideas.

Sure that should work without any Problems. It works (almost) the same as with NodeMCU. But keep in mind that if the rpi zero should do another task that can lead to some issues. But if you only want to controll the RGB strip it should work. But you have to rewrite the sketch as far as I know to (e.g) python code, but that shouldn't be a problem.
Disclaimer: I haven't tested it yet ;)

Update: It doesn't look like I'll be doing this project.

Spliting the pieces prooved unsuccessful. The gaps won't work right because they a)let light through and b) the margin of error between parts doesn't allow you to align them perfectly.

If you have any ideas please reply.

See ya

If interested, instead of splitting, I thought there was someone in one of thenbthe build logs who was creating a smaller panel to fit smaller print beds.

Understood there.  Def not the same effect.  I think the current one is even a little small but still viable.   Looks like a printer upgrade is on your future. :).
