Hey all, this is my final product (For the time being at least) with the moodlite panels.  I didn't have a chance to make a build log because I powered through most of this before registering here.

Some pre-notes:

1) I deviated a bit from the default configuration
2) The board i'm using to control the lights is using something other than the Moodlite software. (I will be making one with the NodeMCU so I can have both experiences though.)
3) I wired the panels to split two ways on the outputs so that I could arrange things in a wider array of shapes. It has a minor caveat of some patterns duplicating, but doesn't impact much.
4) I crammed 3 Neopixels per corner in a panel using strips of 60

With that out of the way here's my build that I need to get around to hanging up now that i'm happy with the end result.

Part-list:
1) Two 60 LED NeoPIxel WS8212
2)  PixelBlaze v2 Controller Board
3) 50mm Servo Connectors
4) Hatchbox PLA 1.75mm White, Polyalchemy Elixir Natural PLA 1.75mm

Awesome.. is that going to be your finished shape / design ?

Moodlite is a completely free open source project.
If however you would like to say thanks and help contribute to this site, or just buy me a beer then please donate below. :-)

I took it a bit of a different direction however I think i'll also expand upon the design I did now once I knock out a couple of remaining prints I want to finish.  The end result is below now that it's hung and on the wall.
The video is showcasing the sound reactive board I installed so that it syncs to ambient sound or music being played:

Thanks!  The controller board maker also has a companion board for sale that does light/sound detection, the platform had the ability to handle it built in.
