Hi!
Thanks for the new version.
I had some struggle getting this to work. It would be nice to have some more detailed comments on the sketch to make sure what the coder meant ;)

I had to switch over to DHCP before getting everything to work. Before that I wasn't quite sure if the DHCP option is for the AP mode of the Moodlite or for when the Moodlite is connected to the user's WiFi.

I think that DHCP should be the default configuration as the most of the users should have an DHCP in their network instead of wanting to configure the Moodlite's IP address manually.

In generell would it be great to have a detailed instruction like a Video where everything get explained what Values should be changed or can i enter the WIFI directly without that Page and stuff like that.

This could be done by everyone who get it to work, cause i cann't and some help would be great.

I agree with you, but I'm bad in making video. So if anyone is willing to help with that part I would be grateful.
And also if anyone could help me with the wiki part?

There's to much to do and I don't have that much time.
Thanks.

Hi everyone!

I just ported all the code to work with esp8266 and with esp32 dev module (the one i have)

Im testing right now and i thinks its working pretty well.

the only thing i could not find is how to transform the function systemHandler to work with ESP32

Somebody can help me with this??

after this, im going to upgrade the code with a lot of new effects and a microphone (max4466) support

Bye!!

moodlite software [1.1.3] Release

https://moodlite.co.uk/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=5

I flashed 1.1.3 and get to the AP on my phone via 192.168.100.250, after entering my SSID / password, the card reboots but then it's gone.  I tried manually setting the IP and also using DHCP but still just get this in the serial monitor

Code: [Select]
ets Jan  8 2013,rst cause:2, boot mode:(3,6)

load 0x4010f000, len 1384, room 16
tail 8
chksum 0x2d
csum 0x2d
v0fd86a07
~ld

Just my 2 cents, but we should get rid of all this complexity.  The wireless AP code is still in there, there is no reason to use any of this.  This device is not going to be a hands free consumer product.   We should be be able to just set the IP, SSID and network password and be done with it.  V1 of the code worked like this and was flawless.

EDIT:  I see now that you CAN manually enter all this info!    Didn't realize the "...." values were to be messed with.  thanks!

Code: [Select]
#define STATIC_IP true
String sHostName = "Moodlite";
String sWifiSsd = "....";
String sWifiPassword = "....";

FYI:  Looks like the "Fire" pattern may have an issue, it doesn't appear to display anything for me.
